Shodh Sabha: Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (SSJMR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, academic integrity, transparency and responsible scholarly publishing.

1. Introduction

SSJMR follows ethical publishing principles to ensure originality, fairness, transparency and academic quality in the editorial and publication process. Authors, editors, reviewers and editorial board members are expected to follow ethical standards throughout manuscript submission, review and publication.

2. Author Responsibilities

Authors submitting manuscripts to SSJMR must:

  • Submit original and unpublished research work.
  • Avoid plagiarism, duplicate publication and fabricated data.
  • Provide accurate research findings and references.
  • Ensure proper citation of all sources.
  • Disclose conflicts of interest where applicable.
  • Ensure that all listed authors have significantly contributed to the research.
  • Obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted material.

3. Plagiarism Policy

Manuscripts containing plagiarism, copied content, fabricated data, duplicate publication or unethical research practices may be rejected immediately. The journal may use plagiarism detection tools or editorial screening procedures to assess originality.

The preferred similarity index should normally remain within acceptable academic limits excluding references, quotations and standard technical terms.

4. Peer Review Ethics

SSJMR follows a fair, confidential and unbiased peer review process. Reviewers are expected to:

  • Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts.
  • Provide objective and constructive feedback.
  • Avoid personal criticism of authors.
  • Report plagiarism, ethical concerns or conflicts of interest.
  • Complete reviews within the assigned timeframe.

5. Editorial Responsibilities

Editors and editorial board members are responsible for:

  • Maintaining academic quality and publication integrity.
  • Making fair and independent editorial decisions.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of submissions.
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest.
  • Managing ethical concerns and publication misconduct.
  • Supporting transparent and unbiased peer review.

6. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers and editors should disclose any financial, institutional, personal or professional conflicts of interest that may influence the research, review or editorial decision-making process.

7. Research Integrity

Authors must ensure that research data, methods and findings are accurate, authentic and ethically obtained. Any form of falsification, fabrication or manipulation of data is considered unethical.

8. Duplicate Submission and Redundant Publication

Manuscripts submitted to SSJMR must not be simultaneously submitted to another journal or publication platform. Previously published work should not be republished without proper citation and editorial approval.

9. Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors, ethical concerns or misconduct are identified after publication, SSJMR may publish corrections, expressions of concern, retractions or article removals depending on the seriousness of the issue.

10. AI-Generated Content

Authors may use AI-based tools for language support or technical assistance; however, authors remain fully responsible for the originality, factual accuracy, citations, ethical compliance and intellectual content of the manuscript. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

11. Confidentiality

Editors, reviewers and publication staff must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts, reviewer comments and editorial decisions. Manuscripts should not be shared outside the editorial process without permission.

12. Ethical Complaints and Misconduct

Allegations of ethical misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, authorship disputes or research malpractice will be investigated by the editorial team. Appropriate editorial action may include rejection, correction, withdrawal or retraction.

13. Publication Decision

Editorial decisions are based on originality, academic contribution, methodological quality, ethical compliance, clarity and relevance to the journal’s scope. Commercial or institutional influence does not affect publication decisions.

14. Commitment to Ethical Publishing

SSJMR supports responsible research publication and encourages authors, reviewers and editors to uphold academic honesty, transparency and scholarly professionalism.
